Carol H. Wysham, MD, FACP, FACE is a clinical endocrinologist at Multicare/Rockwood Clinic and Clinical Professor of Medicine at University of Washington School of Medicine in Spokane, Washington. Dr. Wysham chaired the Professional Practice Committee of the American Diabetes Association in 2011-2012 and served as co-chair and Chair of the Annual Meeting of the Endocrine Society from 2014 – 2016. She has more than 50 publications and over 30 years of clinical research experience, including site principal investigator on the SWITCH, ACCORD, TECOS, EMPA-REG, LEADER, EXCEL and CANVAS Trials. Dr. Wysham is on the Council of the Endocrine Society, is a member of the American Diabetes Association and a Fellow of both the American College of Endocrinology and the American College of Physicians.

Stefano Del Prato, MD is Professor of Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Pisa School of Medicine and Chief of the Section of Diabetes, University of Pisa, Italy. He graduated MD cum laude from the University of Padova and undertook post graduate specialization in both Endocrinology and Internal Medicine. From 1988 through 1990 he was Associate Professor at the University of Texas, Health Science Center, San Antonio, TX, USA. Dr. Del Prato’s research interests have always been focused on diabetes and in particular the physiopathology and therapy of type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance syndrome.
