Neurodevelopmental disorders often present with subtle signs early in life, placing paediatricians in a key position to identify children who may benefit from further assessment and support.
In this webinar, Dr Elisabeth Nilsson Jobs will explore neurodevelopmental disorders through the lens of typical child development, demonstrating how early cognitive, language, motor and socio-communicative milestones can help clinicians understand developmental trajectories and recognise neurodevelopmental differences, including autism and intellectual disability.
Participants will gain practical insights into early developmental indicators and learn how different perspectives within developmental psychopathology contribute to understanding and recognising neurodevelopmental disorders and their presentation across childhood.
By the end of this webinar, participants should be able to:
- 01Describe different perspectives on neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs) within psychiatry and developmental psychopathology.
- 02Explain neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs) from a developmental perspective.
- 03Identify key milestones in early cognitive, language, motor, and socio-communicative development.
