1. Presentation

Duration: 10 minutes
Subject: “Understanding the Patient Perspective in Weight Management for T2DM”

In this session, participants will gain insights into the patient’s perspective on weight management for T2DM. We explore the fundamental principles of patient-centered care, emphasizing the importance of empathy and active listening in patient-provider interactions. Additionally, strategies for fostering patient engagement and empowerment in weight management are discussed, providing attendees with practical tools for improving patient outcomes.

2. Case Study Analysis

Duration: 30 minutes
Subject: “Navigating Complex Patient Scenarios”

Participants get the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice through immersive case study analysis. Small groups were formed to tackle challenging scenarios encountered in weight management for patients with T2DM. Each group delves into the case study, identify key issues, and collaborate to propose evidence-based strategies for addressing the challenges presented. Facilitators, who are Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the field, guide the discussions and offer valuable feedback on proposed solutions, enriching the learning experience.
