Dr. Denice Feig, Head of the Diabetes in Pregnancy Program at Mount Sinai Hospital and University Health Network
Dr. Feig is a renowned expert in the field of diabetes and pregnancy. She is the head of the Diabetes in Pregnancy Program at Mount Sinai Hospital and University Health Network, and a professor at the University of Toronto in the Department of Medicine. With a master’s degree in clinical epidemiology, Dr. Feig is cross appointed to both the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation. She chairs the American Diabetes Association Pregnancy Planning Committee and has numerous grants and publications in diabetes and pregnancy.
Emily D. Szmuilowicz, Program Director for the Endocrinology Fellowship, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine
Her clinical focus is on the management of diabetes during pregnancy, including preexisting type 1 and type 2 diabetes, as well as gestational diabetes. Dr. Szmuilowicz earned her AB from Stanford University in 1998 and her MD from Harvard University in 2002. She further pursued her education with an MS from the Harvard School of Public Health in 2009. Her postgraduate training includes a residency and fellowship at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, completed in 2005 and 2008, respectively. She is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Amy Dunlop, RN, BN, MSc, CDE
Amy Dunlop is a Registered Nurse with bachelor’s degrees in nursing and chemistry and a master’s degree in chemistry. Living with type 1 diabetes, Amy has a passion for helping others living with diabetes and a desire to contribute to research advances. She has volunteered as a mentor for children living with diabetes through Riding on Insulin and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
