Meet the Speakers
Karen Titchener
Karen Titchener is currently the Patient Safety Commissioner for Scotland, an independent statutory role established under the Patient Safety Commissioner for Scotland Act 2023.
Reporting publicly to the Scottish Parliament, her role is focused on systemic patient safety improvement, amplifying the voice of patients, and driving system-wide learning and risk reduction to make healthcare in Scotland safer.
Dr. Oscar Díaz-Cambronero
Head of the Perioperative Medicine Department, Department of Anesthesiology and Surgical Intensive Care at Hospital La Fe, Valencia. Associate Professor of Anesthesiology in the Department of Surgery at the University of Valencia.
Dr. Díaz-Cambronero also serves as Vice Chair of the Oncoanesthesiology Research Group within the European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (ESAIC), with a focus on advancing perioperative medicine, oncology care pathways, and innovation in acute care delivery.
