Meet the Speakers

Dr. Nirit Pilosof

Architect and researcher at the forefront of healthcare innovation, blending technology, architecture, and management to design future-ready hospitals. She is a Senior Lecturer at Tel Aviv University, Associate at Cambridge Judge Business School, and Head of Research in Healthcare Transformation at Sheba Medical Centre. Her award-winning work focuses on hospital-at-home services, hybrid care models, and healthcare ecosystem transformation, with global recognition from the American Institute of Architects and the American Hospital Association.

Dr. Jodi Sturge

Assistant Professor in Interaction Design at the University of Twente, Dr. Jodi Sturge focuses on healthcare design and the transformation of care ecosystems from clinical settings to the home environment for older adults. She applies human-centred and interaction design approaches to enable safe, dignified, and meaningful care through the integration of technology and the built environment. Dr. Sturge is the project lead and Dutch principal investigator of the THCS-funded Ageing Right Carefully project, a comparative study across the Netherlands, Israel, and Sweden on hospital-at-home care. She is also a member of 4TU.Health in the Built Environment, a Dutch technical universities research collaboration.

Dr. Susanna Nordin

Registered nurse and Senior Lecturer at the School of Health and Welfare, Dalarna University, Sweden, Dr. Susanna Nordin researches how the design and qualities of healthcare environments influence the health and well-being of older adults with frail health. Her work emphasizes person-centred and evidence-based environmental design, including the role of nature and outdoor spaces as restorative resources for ageing populations. Dr. Nordin leads a national project examining outdoor environments in adult day care services for people living with dementia and is a member of DEMSAM, a Swedish research and collaboration centre dedicated to dementia research.
