Associate Professor of Medicine
Julia Mader is Associate Professor of Medicine at the Division of Endocrinology and Diabetology at Medical University of Graz and Deputy Head of the Diabetes Outpatient Clinic. She graduated at Medical University of Graz where she also trained in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. She was Visiting Professor at the University Hospital of Bern, Switzerland (2016-2017). She leads the Diabetes Technology Research Unit at Medical University of Graz.
Dr. Johanna Brix
Acting Head of the ‘Diabeteszentrum Wienerberg’, Senior physician at the Department of Medicine
Dr. Brix is a specialized physician in Internal Medicine, focusing on delivering comprehensive healthcare services. Operating on a private appointment basis as a chosen physician, she offers structured diabetes care tailored to individual needs. Her expertise encompasses diabetes education and the management of various types of diabetes mellitus, including Type 1 diabetes (with BBIT Therapy and Insulin Pump Therapy), Type 2 diabetes, and Gestational diabetes. Dr. Brix also provides attentive care for diabetes-related complications and late-stage complications.
Dr. Shah is a Board Certified Adult Endocrinologist and Associate Professor at the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes, University of Colorado Anschutz campus. His research is focused on investigating newer therapies and technologies to improve glycemic control and understanding how diabetes effects bone health in people with type 1 diabetes. He has published more than 90 research articles in various peer reviewed journals and his research work is well cited.
